1. What is the change that you are trying to bring about and why is this important.

Ninety per cent of those who add content to Wikipedia in South Sudan are men. There are four times as many articles about men as there are about women. The figures vary regionally, but no matter how you look at it, the picture is clear: the information about women is less extensive than that about men. Regardless of which language version of Wikipedia you read. We want to change this. Wiki Loves Women 2022 in South Sudan is an event during which people around South Sudan gather to add more content to Wikipedia about women figures, experts and role models in various fields to improve women’s representation on the internet. Together, we want to bring about a more gender-equal internet – and a more gender-equal South Sudan

2. Describe your main approaches or strategies to achieve these changes and why you think they will be effective.

We shall be able to train women activists, feminists and passionate writers in South Sudan and expose them to an editor ton which shall sprout into a wiki contest that shall involve Wikipedia article and photo contest. We shall also be able to add wiki data items in wiki data. Besides, we shall also have physical meet ups in Juba with a continuation of an already existing online editorton.

3. What are the activities you will be developing and delivering as part of these approaches or strategies?

Writing of women articles on Wikipedia Uploading photos on Wiki Commons Adding Wiki data items on Wiki Data Editing and updating some already existing Wikipedia articles about women
