You can recall these learning questions below: Wiki Loves Women – SheSaid project in Burundi will help us to learn skills to contribute to bridge gender gap on wikimedia projects. It will olso be an opportunty to recruiting new volunteers, especially Women editors to join to community of volunteers contributing on wikimedia projects, and to extend network of contributors to Wikimedia projects from who we expect to have new contents to be contributed about women from my community.
The Wiki Loves Women – SheSaid campaign in Burundi helped to learn skills to contribute to bridge gender gap on wikimedia projects. During the campaign, we have recruited new volunteers, new Women editors have joined the campaign and the community of volunteers contributing on wikimedia projects.
We have learned the importance of community engagement and ongoing training. In the future, we hope to use these lessons to:
- Create more structured mentorship programs.
- Expand our reach to include more women in our contribution activities.
5. Did anything unexpected or surprising happen when implementing your activities? This can include both positive and negative situations. What did you learn from those experiences? (required)
There was strong participation from women who had never contributed before. This showed a real interest and a need to improve representation. One negative aspect was technical problems during the online sessions, but this taught us to better prepare our tools in advance.
6. What is your plan to share your project learnings and results with other community members? If you have already done it, describe how. (required)
We plan to share our learnings through:
- A detailed report that will be sent to all participants.
