- 1. What is the change that you are trying to bring about and why is this important.
This proposal is designed to train northern youth empowerment and enlightenment forum (NYEEF)members, the northern youth empowerment and enlightenment forum is one of the major youth NGOs in northern region of Nigeria with vision and mission of bringing the entire northern youth under one United umbrella and to serve as beacon of hope to the society by propagating peace,develop and enhance the capacity of her youth through apprenticeship training,skills acquisition ,Education , sanitation,and environmental expect to promote the spirit of discipline in her northern youth.The aims of this proposal is to train the members of the forum how to create and edit Wikipedia articles and it sister projects.

The northern youth empowerment and enlightenment forum (NYEEF) was founded to promote social development and economic in northern region and Nigeria in generally,presently have over 680 members to promote sustainable development,equitable and participatory development activities,social welfare and social justice.My main approach is to promote Wikipedia and it sister projects to NYEEF members by organizing two days training which will focus on training the NYEEF members how to Contribute to Wikipedia and to also take Wikipedia as a free learning tool,where they can write articles and share it to the world free of charge

We plan to holds 2 days training for NYEEF members in order to teach them how to edit,create an articles and add photos to commons.Which will take place between October 15,2022 to November 15,2023

Education plays a significant role in the empowerment of young people in all income brackets, from poverty-stricken to affluent. Education can open up better economic opportunities for them, improve the quality of their lives, and empower them to make the world a better place for others in their sphere of influence.which is why we decided to develop this proposal to the NYEEF members whom are 99 percent young people and are fully ready to learn and participate in the event

Our target participants are NYEEF members from northern Nigeria region(Hausa).All the Participants are going to be fully engaged with the project,a telegram and whatsapp group platform will be created for the better following up,e.g: guidance,support,interaction and information. Any challenge faces during editing will be addressed on the telegram and what’s app group platform so that experienced members can support.This will provide the participants the required basic skills and motivations in editing Wikipedia

We will comply with the Wikimedia friendly space policy throughout the event. The Wikimedia friendly space policy and UCoC will be revealed to participants during the two days awareness . We will also be sure of safer and conducive event environment
