There are still quite a number of learning environments, institutions of learnings and universities filled with hundreds of thousands intellectuals who would be glad to embrace Wikipedia and volunteer to its content development by covering the missing and less discuss topics as well as improve on the existing ones but these people lacked the awareness and are missing out in the free knowledge movement and this is the idea behind this project which aims to promotes Wikipedia and its sister projects to the students and staff of Sa'adu Zungur University, which is one of the isolated universities where the Wikimedia awareness was never been attempted to be introduced leaving behind a bunch of intelligent individuals who would have been contributing to Wikimedia projects. The university is well equipped with facilities and equipment that are among the best in Nigeria which serves the opportunity to easily handles a Wikimedia events in the institution and also helps in engaging students and staff in contributing to Wikimedia projects.
Through this promotions campaign we aim to revolutionize the traditional way of thinking of the populace of this university who believe that contents of Wikipedia were generated by machines or robots and that the information they provide is static and unchangeable by man which makes it vague and outdated. This would be best way to how to change their perception and also train them on how to contribute and use Wikimedia projects especially for research purposes.
To achieve a successful outcome, we would start the activities by creating awareness on Wikimedia projects in the University including; one on one interactions, on-campus promotions and distribution of posters and flyers, meeting HODs, Faculty Deans and Dean Students Affairs educating them about the Wikimedia projects and their significance enabling them to understand the importance of open access to knowledge and the role Wikimedia plays in achieving this goal. We would them train then randomly select and train 50 individuals from staff and students to help them become editors contributing to Wikimedia projects
Before the end of the event, we would collaborate with the management to create a community of Wikimedia editors in Sa'adu Zungur University to ensure that the continuous Wiki related activities. A WhatsApp group will also be created for participants retention and encouragement.

Awareness Campaign: A 3-days awareness campaign will be undertaken to tour the premises of the university, academic offices, faculties, lecture halls, and other social gatherings advocating the Wikimedia projects. During the awareness we will register 50 participants for the training.
First Physical Training: This would introduced the participants to hands-on keyboard practical sessions about Wikipedia, Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons.
Second Physical Training: This session will be for mop-up activity where the participants get the chance to explain the problems they are facing and the facilitators help them solve the issues.

- Majalam is a skilled female Wikimedia volunteer, editor and trainer with a passion for knowledge sharing and community engagement. She has actively participated in various Wikimedia events that cut-across Wikipedia, Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, Incubator, etc. She has attended several online and in-person Wiki events organized in various part of Nigeria, especially the north. Her efforts in bridging geographic and language gaps is well noticed.
- Hajjare is another female volunteer, an experienced Wikimedia editor, and organizer of variuos Wiki events. She has organized and facilitated several Wikipedia projects Awareness in Northern Nigeria with notable impact on young people and well-deserving awards. She is part of the offline facilitators to help in training the participants.
- Ibrahim442: Is a versed and experienced male editor and project lead of Wikimedia Awareness in Mai Idriss Alooma Polytechnic. He will bring his wealth of knowledge and experience in recruiting the participants.
- Jalamcy2023 is an experienced Wikimedia projects editor and trainer with a huge facilitation experience. She assisted in various organized projects and will help online and offline.
- Mariam planner is a student of the University and a contact person. She will serve the roles of liaisons and communications between the University management and the project lead.
- The remaining two facilitators will be from the university and are going to help with technical supports, hall settings, logistics etc. They are also going to continue with the overseeing of the Wiki activities within the University.
