1. What is the change that you are trying to bring about and why is this important.

Federal college of education it's school of education that contains alot of students that are learning languages, and I will use this opportunity to aware the students about the important of bringing their knowledge in to Wikimedia community, I will recruit students and teach them how to use Wikimedia.

2. Describe your main approaches or strategies to achieve these changes and why you think they will be effective.

Introduce the students about Wikimedia and how they can handle it.

Training and recruiting new editors, improving the skills of the exiting and adding articles

3. What are the activities you will be developing and delivering as part of these approaches or strategies?

The first day I and other facilitators we will go to College and talk with the head of Hausa Department and academic offices and faculties as well as the lecturers explaining Wikimedia project and sharing flyers information about the project.

And in the second day I will introduce Wikimedia and other projects to the participants, the third day I will open Wikimedia account to the new editors, I and other Facilitators we will lead the Workshop of teaching how to edit Wikipedia to the participants.

Aleeyuadam123 will lead the projects with help of these experienced Wikimedians.


Gwanki, Is an experience Wikimedian, he has organized many Wikimedia Projects in Northern Nigeria. He's an administrator at Hausa Wikipedia.
Hamza DK, An experience Wikimedian from Katsina State, he have also organised and Facilitated in many Wikimedia Projects.
M Bash Ne, One of the biggest contributor of Hausa Wikipedia, he has organized and Facilitated in several Wikimedia Projects.
Yusuf Sa'adu is student of English/Hausa language, he's also experience Wikimedian and he's a Wikimedia Guarantee.

We will focus on creating articles that relate to Hausa Culture, language and religion.

The project will focus on staff of the federal college of education Kano and it students.

I will invite the participants through WhatsApp and the help of my friends, and I will send Mail to some staff and I will visit them in their offices, during the project I and my facilitators we will make sure everything is going smoothly and we will help the create account, and after the project done we will open a social media group like WhatsApp or telegram where we will continue engage with the trainees.

The Wikimedia friendly space policy will be strictly adhered to the participants before the event starts.We will make sure we have a good space with the materials to assist participants.
