- 1. What is the change that you are trying to bring about and why is this important.
The Wikipedia awareness have never take place at the Aminu Kano College of Education and Legal Studies, while this college is among the most biggest colleges in Kano State which has almost ten thousands students that are studying in the college and the 95% of the students are Hausa speakers, they know Wikipedia project by name but they don't know the Wikipedia in terms of research and also they don't know the Wikipedia in terms of building it's contents or on how to contribute to the Wikipedia and Wikipedia sister projects, while the Wikipedia is a source of references, the Wikipedia is where the different knowledge can be acquired and shared by different peoples from different areas. I decided to organize this project at Aminu Kano College of Education and Legal Studies Kano because I am a graduate student of the college, I studied the English language under the department of English language and also one of the project facilitators M Bash Ne is a graduate student of the college he studied Hausa language under the department of Hausa language. Currently now, there are some of my friends studying at the college and they are among the Students Union Goals (S.U.G) committee of the college and they show me their interest to give their contributions for building the Hausa Wikipedia and it's sister projects. On other hand, there is an amicable interaction between me and the staffs of the college because I am their student and they are my lecturers I acquired the different knowledge from them, considered with this I am sure that they will give me a maximum cooperation to organize the project in the college. Therefore, through this awareness the Wikipedia contents and Wikipedia sister projects will be built by recruiting new editors, creating new articles, the less improved articles will be improved and also the articles that are related to the college and the areas that are surrounded the college will be improved through this project.
- 2. Describe your main approaches or strategies to achieve these changes and why you think they will be effective.
The main strategies that will be used into achieving these changes are:
- Creating the Wikipedia awareness at the Aminu Kano College of Education and Legal Studies, Kano.
- Building the Wikipedia contents by creating new articles.
- Building the wikimedian community by recruiting new editors.
- Improvement the articles that are less improved more especially the articles that are related to the college and the surrounded areas of the college.
- 3. What are the activities you will be developing and delivering as part of these approaches or strategies?
The activities that will be delivered as part of these strategies are:
The program will be for two days event but before the events days we will ask for the request from the college management corporation into allowing the activities to take place in their college. we will provide banners that will be hang in order to be a sign during the event and we will provide the tags and flyers which will be distributed to the participants during the awareness event.
On first day, the organizer and facilitators will make an extensive explanation about Wikipedia and it's sister projects to the participants, this will make them to have a full awareness and information included by the Wikipedia. After that, the program will be focuses on the registration for creating an account to the new recruited editors, this will be resulted to have a Wikimedian community in the society.
On second day, the program will be concentrated to the creating new articles and improving the less improved articles, which will be resulted to the building the Wikipedia contents and it's sister projects.

- Gwanki is an experience Wikimedian editor he has organized many Wikimedian Projects in Northern Nigeria. He's an administrator at Hausa Wikipedia and he is a member at Nigerian Wikimedian User Group and also member grant commitee Nigerian Wikimedians User Group.
- M Bash Ne He is also an experienced Wikimedian editor, more especially on Hausa Wikipedia and other Wikipedia sisters projects, he organized several projects before and he is a member at the Hausa Wikimedians User Group and Nigerian Wikimedian User Group. Also he is a graduate student at Aminu Kano College of Education and Legal Studies, he studied Hausa language under the department of Hausa.
- Hamza DK: He is also an experienced editor at the Hausa Wikipedia not only Hausa Wikipedia even the Wikipedia sister projects, therefore he is among the experienced editors who will assist me into the delivering this project.
- Yusuf Sa'adu : Also he is among the experienced Wikimedian editor who will assist me into the implementing this project.

The project is aim to promote and make the wikipedia awareness to the lecturers and students of Aminu Kano College of Education and Legal Studies Kano. So it will be an encouragement if the articles that are related to the college and the areas that are surrounded the college be improved during the awareness program, which will help into the giving a way to the new potential recruit editors grabs their opportunity to edit content they are most familiar with.

Our target participants are students and lecturers of Aminu Kano College of Education and Legal Studies Kano, and some of our colleagues whom we were studied together with them. The participants will be engaged through our course mate WhatsApp group chat, SMS and phone call. The WhatsApp group and Facebook page will be created for following up with participants after the activities for guidance and response to the questions of new recruited editors.

We will ensure compliance with all the terms and conditions of the Wikimedia Foundation and also we will observe the effective security and the environmental health care agents in order to make sure that the lives and the health of the participants been secured and safe. The participants may not have the skills of this because they are new but I am sure that most of them will come with their smartphone, laptops and other supportive devices that will help in carrying out this project.
