これまでウィキペディア編集のアウトリーチ活動が行われてこなかった日本の地方や、企画開催経験の浅い主催者が、ウィキペディアについてほとんど知識のない地域住民や学生に対して正確なウィキメディアの取り扱いについて知識を普及し、やがては自立してウィキメディア・アウトリーチ活動を続けることができるように、知識と技術、ノウハウを提供します。現在、日本ではウィキペディアのアカウントを作成したくともできないインターネット環境が多数あります。また、コミュニティの方針に知識が浅いまま編集参加した初心者の未熟な編集活動が、荒らし行為と誤認されてブロックされて活動を継続できなくなるケースが多発しています。こうした理由から、未経験者のコミュニティへの参加には高いハードルがあり、アウトリーチ活動には、そのノウハウと、アカウント作成者などの資格を持つウィキペディアンのサポートが欠かせません。私はそのノウハウを持っていることが、世間一般に広く知られていることから、多くの相談を受けており、ウィキメディアへの参加を希望しているそうした人々や地域をできるだけサポートしたいと考え、各地域や主催者の特性やねらいに応じたウィキメディア編集の研修プランの考案や提供、講習などを通して、各地のエディタソンを成功させたいと考えています。

11月1日（土）愛媛県砥部町でのウィキペディアタウン開催支援（企画アドバイザー、講師、資金提供） 11月8日（土）北海道北見市でのウィキペディアタウン開催支援（企画アドバイザー、講師） 11月10日（月）～24日（月）図書館総合展オンラインでのZoom編集相談会の開催（主催） 11月30日（日）愛知県稲沢市でのウィキペディアタウン（題材検討の相談役、ファシリテーター） 12月6日（土）ウィキペディアタウンカンファレンス（事例紹介） 12月7日（日）和歌山県でのウィキペディアタウン（開催希望者と実施について検討中）

これは私が個人的にウィキペディア・コミュニティメンバーではない人々（自治体、公共図書館、公教育に携わる人、地域振興ボランティア活動に身を置く人、など）から相談を受け、エディタソン実現に協力するものです。 一例をあげると、 11月１日の企画主催者（本プロジェクトの協力者）は一般社団法人e.n.です。彼らは地域住民に多数の協力者をもち、ウィキメディアに関心がある初心者を集めて質の高いエディタソンを開催できる人脈を持っていますが、ウィキメディアについての知識と経験、企画実施のための経済力がありません。そのため、私はこれらの不足を、この助成金からサポートします。 11月８日の企画主催者は北見市の公共図書館ですが、これは11月７日に他の企画で私が近隣地域で講師をする予定に乗じて急遽企画されたもので、追加で生じる延泊費用や移動経費は予定されていません。そのため、私はこれらの不足を、この助成金からサポートします。 11月30日の企画主催者も公共図書館ですが、私はこの図書館が雇用したuser:Ujigisから協力要請を受け、自費で参加します。必要経費をこの助成金からサポートいただければ助かります。 このように、各企画の主催者や開催地域、私の役割は異なりますが、個別に申請するには時期が切迫しているため、まとめての申請を行います。 これらの企画に共通するのは、いずれも「ローカルエリアのウィキペディア項目の充実を図るアウトリーチ活動」であること、私の協力内容は主には「ウィキペディアについて正確な知識をレクチャーし、初心者の編集活動参加を手伝い、編集されたWikipedia項目の品質を整える」ことが挙げられます。
