1. What is the change that you are trying to bring about and why is this important.

I've lead a Wikipedia Edit-a-thon in Funtua last year where I gather people I open account to new them and teache them how to edit on Wikipedia. To date there are active editors among those who attended that event. Since then I have been receiving calls from participants on how to teach them how to edit in Wiktionary. Some I started teach them and I never got to sit with them and teach them. It was I who decided to apply for a grant in order to re-planning a project to teach a number of participants how to edit in Hausa Wiktionary. This program will provide awareness to participants about Wiktionary to Wikimedia editors in Funtua town. The program will also enhance Hausa Wiktionary by producing improved articles on Wiktionary. I invited experiences editors M Mustapha and Gwanki to reach them how to created article and editing in Wiktionary

2. Describe your main approaches or strategies to achieve these changes and why you think they will be effective.

Creating training and edit-a-thon about wiktionary the important online encyclopedia as well as other Wikimedia educational projects. Also recruiting new editors for improving Wiktionary. Forher more it will provide room for improving skills of editors that already edit Wikipedia. Another important change would be adding content, creating and improving content of Wiktionary and during the training and edit-a-thon Wiktionary is another most important aspects of Wikimedia and yet, many contributors do not fully understand Wiktionary and how it works. This workshop will thus, focus on introducing editors to Wiktionary from Funtua. And New editors for the second time in this area will be exposed to other beautiful part of Wikimedias.

I Yusuf Sa'adu, I'm a final year student of Hausa-English, I will lead the projects with help of these experienced Wikimedias. Gwanki, Is an experience Wikimedian, he has organized many Wikimedia Projects in Northern Nigeria. He's an administrator at Hausa Wikipedia. Hamza DK, An experience Wikimedian from Katsina State, he have also organised and Facilitated in many Wikimedia Projects. Hamza DK he is project photograph. M Bash Ne, One of the biggest contributor of Hausa Wikipedia, he has organized and Facilitated in several Wikimedia Projects.
