Project Goal
[edit]What will be the outputs of your project and how will those outputs contribute to advancing a specific Movement Strategy Initiative The main goal of the program is to aware the Telugu Speaking community about the Movement strategy 2030. And also to translate the movement charter-related content into Telugu and share it with the Telugu-speaking community and take feedback to ensure that our community is fully engaged in conversations about the governance of the movement.
- What specific Movement Strategy Initiative does your project focus on and why? Please select one of the initiatives described here
- Translating the content into Telugu will help the community to understand the Movement strategy.
I would like to build a holistic approach, to help the community understand the Movement strategy 2030 goals and activities.
My special areas of focus are:
- increasing the sustainability of the movement
- Ensuring equity in Decision making.
Project Background
[edit]- When do you intend to begin this project and when will it be completed?
- I intend to work on this from 29 November to 18 December.
Here is the detailed timeline of the project; We will try to complete the translations of the Movement Charter content by 7 December. From 7 December to 12 December, we will conduct online conversations with the community. During this time, we will be taking feedback from the Telugu language community.
The feedback collected from these meetings will be published on Meta-Wiki from 12 December to 18 December.
- Where will your project activities be happening?
- The project activities will be happening Online.
- Are you collaborating with other communities or affiliates on this project? Please provide details of how partners intend to work together to achieve the project goal.
- I as the project manager will be doing most of my work by myself, including translation and reporting on meta. If possible, we would be taking lessons from other MC Ambassadors for better coordination of the project.
- What specific challenge will your project be aiming to solve? And what opportunities do you plan to take advantage of to solve the problem?
- Since, Movement Charter is an important plan, we will be implementing this project to make MC reach our community so that our community is also involved in this. Translation of MC content will be the main step so that our small community can engage with the MC.
I will be organising the meetings with the community members so that they know more about the MC and take feedback from them about the same and report it on Meta.
- Does this project aim to apply one of the examples shared in the call for grants and if so which one?
- This grant is aligned with the MC Ambassador's Grant Program.

Outcomes
[edit]After your activities are complete, we would like to understand the draft implementation plan for your community. You will be required to prepare a document detailing this plan around a movement strategy initiative. This report can be prepared through Meta-wiki using the Share your results button on this page. The report can be prepared in your language, and is not required to be written in English.
In this report, you will be asked to:
- Provide a link to the draft implementation plan document or Wikimedia page
- Describe what activities supported the development of the plan
- Describe how and where you have communicated your plan to relevant communities.
- Report on how your funding was spent
Your draft implementation plan document should address the following questions clearly:
- What movement strategy initiative or goal are you addressing?
- What activities will you be doing to address that initiative?
- What do you expect will happen as a result of your activities? How do those outcomes address the movement strategy initiative?
- How will you measure or evaluate your activities? What tools or methods will you use to evaluate your activities?
To create a draft implementation plan, we recommend the use of a logic model, which will help you and your team think about goals, activities, outcomes, and other factors in an organized way. Please refer the following resources to develop a logic model:
- Overview of logic models on Meta-wiki
- Example logic models for reference for other movement activities (such as partnerships and edit-a-thons)
- Blank logic model template on Google Drive
Please confirm below that you will be able to prepare a draft implementation plan document by the end of your grant:

- Neutral: There is a discussion happening on Telugu WP:VP about this grant after grantee notified about this project. Among 4 responses in that discussion, 3 of them were not supporting the grant and asking critical questions like non-engamenent with community, unreasonably high budget, etc., Grantee is not responding to those questions in Telugu Wikipedia and only engaging in meta which is not a healthy way of engaging community. Plus - Grantee looks like avoiding to provide link to the Telugu Wikipedia discussion about this grant here even after I suggested doing so in this grant's talk page. Here is the link. Overall,
I think budget is too highand grantee is not collaborative with community to take this forward. --Pavan Santhosh Surampudi (talk) 19:13, 6 December 2022 (UTC)
