Learning[edit]

Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:

  • What worked well?
  1. Providing free internet on participants devices encouraged participants to make edits in-between event days.
  2. Allowing the teachers to take charge of communication on WhatsApp group helped the students to feel involved in the project.
  • What did not work so well?
    • The number of events was too small to accommodate learning to contribute to 3 Wikimedia projects (simple English, English Wikipedia, Wikidata)
  • What would you do differently next time?
    • I would plan to give 4 event days per target project to allow the participants to have a good understanding since they are high school students.
