Tell us how you'll carry out your project. Be sure to answer the following questions:
1. Are you doing one editathon or training or a series of editathons or trainings?
- We are planning one edit-a-thon at the Columbia Museum of Art.
2. How will you let your community know about the event? Please paste links below to where relevant communities have been notified of your proposal, and to any other relevant community discussions.
- The School of Visual Art and Design at the University of South Carolina is working in conjunction with the Columbia Museum of Art to publicize and promote the edit-a-thon. The event will be promoted to University students, faculty, and staff, shared among department chairs, and disseminated to the local community by the outreach coordinators at both SVAD and the CMA.

3. Do you have experienced Wikimedia editors to lead the event?
- We will have six edit-a-thon organizers and editors from previous years assisting and supporting participants at the event, including a curator, art and art history professors, and staff.
4. Do participants have the equipment or skills needed to participate and contribute high quality content? If not, how will you support them?
- The edit-a-thon will take place in the Columbia Museum of Art where all supplies are provided and they are being encouraged to bring their own laptops and power cords to help us accommodate more participants. Art history student volunteers and professors will be onsite to assist in the editing process and work with less experienced editors to publish quality content and make accurate, relevant changes to pre-existing pages.
5. How will you engage participants after the event(s)?
- Post edit-a-thon, editors and participants will be added to our mailing list to be invited to upcoming edit-a-thons and to stay in touch with the School of Visual Art and Design as well as the Columbia Museum of Art.
6. Is there anything else you want to tell us about this project?

How will you know if the project is successful and you've met your goals? Please include the following targets:
- Number of events: 1
- Number of participants: 50
- Number of new editors: 30
- Number of of articles created or improved: 60
- Number of repeat participants (for projects that include a series of events)
Resources[edit]
What resources do you have? Include information on who is organizing the project, what they will do, and if you will receive support from anywhere else (in-kind donations or additional funding).
- We have 6 experienced Wikimedians who will attend the edit-a-thon, one engagement and education coordinator from the Museum, and one computer specialist to help new editors create accounts and get introduced to the editing system. The Columbia Museum of Art is providing the venue for free but we do not have any additional funding.
What resources do you need? For your funding request, list bullet points for each expense and include a total amount.
- Food and drink = $300 ; Miscellaneous supplies = $200 (name tags, pins, stickers, A+F editing guide)
