We are very happy with the project and how the project went. This is because we we're able to achieve all our goals and even more.

Outcome[edit]

Please report on your original project targets. Please be sure to review and provide metrics required for Rapid Grants.

Yes I have reach my target and beyond, we we're able to reach all of our targets and even go beyond it.
Target outcome Achieved outcome Explanation
50 New Users 56 new users we have reach this target and even go beyond.
50 new articles 52 new articles we can be able to create 52 new articles which is more than our initial target and we polish more than 100 articles, you can read them through this Hastag #HWW

Learning[edit]

Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:

  • What worked well?
We are able to reach all our targets that's exciting and a lot of people show much interested in the project. We were able to register large number of participants and people show interest by attending all the 3 days event.
You can also read the work through this hastag https://hashtags.wmflabs.org/graph/?user=&search_type=or&project=ha.wikipedia.org&enddate=&query=%23HWW&startdate=

  • What did not work so well?
We have problems with transportation, more especially in igabi local government and we also have some difficulties on renting a hall for the event at that particular local government. Which we later did but at high cost.

There is high price of transportation this is because the event took place during sallah celebration. New users couldn't create articles this is due to unfamiliarity but we try and keep them in all our platform so as to keep in touch. We have some technical issues with light but it was resolved and the program went well.

  • What would you do differently next time?
I will like to keep all the new editors in touch this is because of their keen interest in editing Wikipedia. And also I will like to organize an edit a thorn in other to be able to put the new users in a room with experience editors so as to share experience and teach them alot on how to contribute immensely in Wikipedia.
