We would make use of the available of Wikimedia WhatsApp communities that exist across Nigeria, social media platforms and also make use of e-fliers to attract new members.

3. How will you judge the contest and award prizes?

It will be point based, the individuals with the highest points in each category will be awarded the prize

The scoring system for the winners would be as follows:

  • Five points (5.0) would be awarded for every new article translated

4. For photo contests, what is the strategy to get images used on projects?

5. Are you running any in-person events or activities? If so, you will need to complete the steps outlined on the Risk Assessment protocol related to COVID-19. When you have completed these steps, please provide a link to your completed copy of the risk assessment tool below:

  • We do not plan to carry out an in-person event. The event is strictly online.

6. Is there anything else you want to tell us about this project?

This is a contest that will improve existing Wikimedia communities such as the Igbo Wikimedians User Group Abuja Chapter, Anambra Chapter, Igbo Wikimedians User Group Imo Chapter, several more Wikimedia related clusters in Nigeria and recruit new users.
