To this end, Catalyzing Nigeria 1.0 will help to bridge the content gap and also equip editors (both existing and new) with skills needed to proffer solution to aforementioned challenges mentioned earlier.
Nigeria, aside of being the seventh most populated country in the world, it has countless number of tourist sites, market places, cultures, food to mention a few. Through this project, the first edition, effort would be made to ensure photos around this aspect are well documented in respect to having a solution to the identified challenge.

- Raise awareness about the Wikimedia movement and its activities in Ilorin and Kwara as a whole.
- Provide a platform for learning, capacity building and sharing of experiences and ideas around Wikimedia projects.

Tell us how you'll carry out your project. What will you and other organizers spend your time doing?
- A team would be set up for the following:
- Presentations on different Wikimedia projects.
- Wikidata Edit-a-thon and training session.
- Work with five professional photographers
- Upload session after the photowalk.
How will you let others in your community know about your project (please provide links to where relevant communities have been notified of your proposal, and to any other relevant community discussions)?
- Notified the Ilorin Wikimedia Hub members on the official page, see here as well as the Nigerian community.
Why are you targeting a specific audience?
- They are community members whose need have been identified based on my leadership observation. Besides, assisting them not to have the challenge of not being able to do much on either Wikipedia or its sister projects.
What will you have done at the end of your project? How will you follow-up with people that are involved with your project?
- Create Wikipedia awareness
- Recruit new members
- Equip new and existing editors with needed skills
- Photowalk within Kwara State

- Number of total participants: if 25 people attends the training and Edit-a-thon

- Number of articles created or improved: if at least 100 Nigerian related articles are created/improved
- Number of Wikidata Items: if at least 50 wikidata items are created/improved on Wikidata

What resources do you have? Include information on who is the organizing the project, what they will do, and if you will receive support from anywhere else (in-kind donations or additional funding).
- James Moore200 Project Lead and coordinator. He is an experienced Wikipedian, local-ordinator, Wiki Loves Africa 2021 in Ilorin. Lead & Co-lead/organiser for Wiki Loves SDGs and WikiForHumanRight 2021, respectively. He also coordinated, Photographs at Model Ecowas Summit in 2021 in Abuja, Nigeria. He also served as one of the mentors for WikiVibrance African Youth Month 2021 event.
- Major Lyte: He's a communication expert, project lead for Wikidata for Tourism, and Media Personalities in 2021. Aside that, he has been a winner of different community prizes through his active participation in the Wikimedia Movement. He will be assisting with communication aspects. Co-facilitator.
- Godstime Elijah He is the current Vice-president of the Wikimedia Fan Club, University of Ilorin. He coordinated WPWP at Kwara in 2020 among several others. He will also be facilitating.
- Favourdare123 He is an award winning editor, who has won different contests within the Nigerian commission and will be assisting with the logistics.
Kojoclicks: He's a professional photographer, who will be joining for the photowalk.
