Project Plan[edit]

Activities[edit]

Tell us how you'll carry out your project. What will you and other organizers spend your time doing?

this project aims at bringing Hausa community to Hackathon 2022, in other for them to know more about it and be able to contribute towards the Tech community. We make sure to bring the event live to our community by inviting them to our local meet up and showcase the event live to them. So that they can be part of 2022 Hackathon. We will showcase the opening and closing ceremony of the event.

How will you let others in your community know about your project (please provide links to where relevant communities have been notified of your proposal, and to any other relevant community discussions)? Why are you targeting a specific audience?

We will use inter personal channels, social media handles we already have and Hausa Wikipedia community portal for the invitation and announcement. Kofar Al'umma

What will you have done at the end of your project? How will you follow-up with people that are involved with your project?

We will be in touch in our social media handles as well as in person.

Are you running any in-person events or activities? If so, you will need to complete the steps outlined on the Risk Assessment protocol related to COVID-19. When you have completed these steps, please provide a link to your completed copy of the risk assessment tool below:

yes. here is the link. Risk Assessment Tool

Impact[edit]

How will you know if the project is successful and you've met your goals? Please include the following targets and feel free to add more specific to your project:

  1. Number of total participants 30
  2. Number of articles created or improved (if applicable)
  3. Number of photos uploaded to Wikimedia Commons (if applicable) 50
  4. Number of photos used on Wikimedia projects (if applicable)
  1. its difficult to predict the number of bugs we will solve considering we don't have tech community in existence in the community. But we hope to find those programmers as we introduce the Tech community to the Hausa community. And what gives us hope is the fact that they are some members in the Hausa community that are programmers its just like they are not familia with Tech Wikimedia community. This event will introduce the community to them.
