Goals[edit]

Did you meet your goals? Are you happy with how the project went? Yes, I met my goals and I am very happy with how the project went.

Outcome[edit]

Please report on your original project targets. Please be sure to review and provide metrics required for Rapid Grants.

Target outcome Achieved outcome Explanation
If atleast 5 professional photographers participated Not less than 5 professional photographers participated The target was achieved as all the invited professional photographers participated in the project. The photographers included ID Cooln, InspirePhotos, Nogheghase7, Omorodion1 and Kaizenify
If atleast 300 high quality photos are uploaded to Wikimedia Commons Over 300 high quality photos were uploaded. We exceeded the target and we still intend to add more photos in the future. You can find the uploaded photos here
If at least 30% of the images collected are used on Wikimedia Projects Over 30% of the images collected were used on different Wikimedia projects, including 15 different language Wikipedia. The project successfully linked many of the images uploaded to their relevant Wikipedia articles. You can see the details here.

Learning[edit]

Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:

  • What worked well?
    • All the expected participants showed up
    • The customized T-shirt made identification easier for the participants, especially in areas were we needed to get permission before taking photos.
    • We didn't have difficulty navigating the various towns and cities in the state because most of the participants were resident in the state and knew the location very well
  • What did not work so well?
    • We couldn't access some areas in the state partly due to bad roads.
    • There was also the concern of insecurity that has characterized some part of the country.
    • It was stressful trying to cover a senatorial district in a single photowalk
  • What would you do differently next time?
    • I will increase the number of photowalks in some senatorial district like Edo South, so that participants can comprehensively cover the region.
