Project Plan[edit]

Activities[edit]

Tell us how you'll carry out your project. Be sure to answer the following questions:

1. How many walks/tours will you organize and how many people on each walk?

There are 10 tours to be held (one tour per day) and at least two people will participate in each tour.

2. What kind of content will the walks focus on? Why is this topic a priority?

The tours will be focused on development of 360 degrees pictures and tours and provide photographic content currently missing on Wikimedia projects.

3. What is the plan to ensure images will be used on Wikimedia projects?

We plan to shoot natural, architectural and cultural sites of national importance and suitable for global advertising of Bulgaria, as well as it will serve for achieving education and research purposes. We are in touch with active editors, who have already included some of our past work in Wikipedia articles. Three of our pictures were chosen in the top 10 of Wiki Loves Monuments Bulgaria 2016.

4. Do participants have the equipment or skills needed to participate and contribute high quality content? If not, how will you support them?

The participants have extensive experience and expertise in creation of professional visual content (360 degree virtual images and representative flat images). They are all serving the needs of the project and are trusted photographers of Google Street View.

5. Is there anything else you want to tell us about this project? The aim of this project is to promote Bulgaria in the Internet through 360° panoramic tours and photography, and the content made available by many widely usable web platforms.

Impact[edit]

How will you know if the project is successful and you've met your goals? Please include the following targets and feel free to add more:

  1. Number of participants
    At least two participants
  2. Number of photos uploaded to Wikimedia Commons
200 pieces of 360 degree spherical panoramas and 200 flat pictures
  3. Number of photos used on Wikimedia projects
At least 80 percent of target upload (160 panoramas and 160 flat pictures)
