Project Goal[edit]
Briefly explain what are you trying to accomplish with this project, or what do you expect will change as a result of this grant. Example goals include, "recruit new editors", "add high quality content", or "train existing editors on a specific skill".
This project is the only project in the world that invites young people who are in scouts to contribute volunteer service in the Wikimedia platform. We try to accomplish:
- Add or improve content in Malay Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons
- Increase number of freely licensed images of world heritage site, intangible cultural heritage and tentative sites recognized by UNESCO in Malaysia;
- Recruiting new contributors to Malay Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons
- Introduce local community to available resources from WMF
- Create awareness on the love on heritage among Wikimedia project volunteers in Malaysia and the local community
