Learning[edit]

Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:

  • What worked well?

The event entirely worked well because i have set all of the project needs 4 days before the event starts.

  • What did not work so well?

Actually we have an internet issues at the institution because the institute WiFi was not available, then i used extra money to subscribe to the participants just to see the program succeed.

  • What would you do differently next time? In any project I might carry, when renting a place, i will make sure that the internet capacity/gadget good.

Finances[edit]

Grant funds spent[edit]

Please describe how much grant money you spent for approved expenses, and tell us what you spent it on.

• Hall - $196 x 2 = $392 for two (2 days).
• Book (Hausa - Arabic - English Dictionary) : $13 x 17 = $221: I added more 3 books making 20 in the day 2 for the participants ($13 x 20 = 260). I deducted the number of the laptops i requested i.e from 15 to 10 since most of the participants have smart phones. That is why i prefer to let them use their smart phones.
• Food and drinks - For each participant = $16 x 15 (participants) = 240 x 2 = $480 for (2) days: Although in the day 1, we were 10 in number because the participants did not give good turn out. But i used the remaining funds in the day-2 since the participants are more than the estimated number.
• Laptop allowances - $10 (for each laptop) x 10 x (2 days) = $100: I make it 10 instead of 15 to recover the number of added books as i stated above.
• Data for Internet support - $92 x 2 = $184 for (2 days)
• T-shirts - $13 x 10 (participants) = $130
• Transport - for both facilitators and participants x (2 days) = $200
• Banner and Tags - $200
• TOTAL USD Spent: $1957 USD
• $1 USD = N411 x 1957 = 804,327
• TOTAL NGN: 804,327 NGN

Remaining funds[edit]

Do you have any remaining grant funds? No any fund remains from this project in fact I found things so different with my budget due to inflation. That is why we loved the idea brought by the foundation for increasing the grant funds. Best Regards, Umar-askira

Anything else[edit]

Anything else you want to share about your project?
Yes focus! This project has made ironic and so courageous to keep on contributing in wiktionary since i can be abled to impact what i knew to other and i can also be able to cry out more grant project. It also made it clear to that, with grant project, i can be able to make impacts in wikipedia projects since i have lot of people here out their waiting and wishing to welcome such idea. I have tutor skill that leads me to impact knowledge to people flexibly. I will like to use this portion to incoperate my wish to wikmedia foundation especially rapid grants to be considering my grant applications because this will help our community to understand what wikipedia projects are.
