Everyday girls face barriers to education caused by cultural norms and practices, violence, poverty and many others barriers, hence the need to prioritize educating the girl child to live her dreams the Wikipedia support girl child education is posited at inspiring the girl child to live her dreams to the fullest even in the midst of limiting factors if she can think it, she can become. Project Goal[edit]

  1. Recruit new girl child editors
  2. Increase skills for existing females editors
  3. Add or improve content on importantance of girl child education, gender equality and equal access
  4. Translation of articles on equal access, gender equality,females athletes.females politians into hausa language

Tell us how you'll carry out your project. Be sure to answer the following questions:

1. Are you doing one editathon or training or a series of editathons or trainings?

1 day aweerenes and three series of editathons in relation to promote gender equality, human Right and females in sports will be done

2. How have you let relevant Wikimedia communities know about this proposal? You are required to provide links to on-wiki pages to inform these communities about your proposed work. Examples of places where this can be done include community discussion pages, affiliate discussion pages, or relevant project talk pages.

Communities will be informed through our hausa wikimedia discussion page and social media Chanel's such as facebook, twitter, whatsup and instagram

You may also provide information about external social media channels you may be using.

3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.

Information about the Wikipedia training and edit-a-thon will be disseminated using fliers and social media channels.

The participants will be onboarded in a WhatsApp group to ease communication in the community before, during and after the event. 4. Do you have experienced Wikimedia editors to lead the event? Please provide links to the usernames of these individuals.

Yes three experienced editors will join me in this project they are

5. Do participants have the equipment or skills needed to participate and contribute high quality content? If not, how will you support them?

Yes they have Personal Computers and Smartphones which will be used at the venue for the training

6. How will you engage participants after the event(s)?

We will encourage the participants to continue to edit and update the pages through personalized communications after the events, emphasizing the importance of having up-to date web pages with accurate information.

7. Are you running any in-person events or activities? If so, you will need to complete the steps outlined on the Risk Assessment protocol related to COVID-19. When you have completed these steps, please provide a link to your completed copy of the risk assessment tool below:

This program is focus to helps girls child to learn more about wikipedia and by learning more about it, everyone can participate to develop and improve all form of information contained in Wikipedia that is related to girl child education and feminism practice, women artist, females athletes and all forms of artistic activity related to the issue of gender equality most importantly in hausa community We are highly passionate about girl child education and gender equality would want nothing more than for these girl child beautiful talent to be shared with world, far and wide digitally.
