This will be an offline meetup of members of the Yoruba Wikimedians Community to discuss the 10 recommendations of the Wikimedia Movement Strategy, document proposed implementation ideas and prioritize them.

  1. What community or communities will be involved in this movement strategy discussion(s)?
    The Yoruba Wikimedians Community, Yoruba language speakers, and contributors
  2. How will you make sure everyone is invited?
    We will share the information about this event at the Yoruba Wikipedia Community Portal, our official mailing list, social media platforms, and direct emailing of community members
  3. How will you document community discussion(s) and feedback related to movement strategy? Who will be responsible for documenting these discussions?
    The session would be recorded, translated, and published on meta-wiki. The documentation would be handled and managed by a very experienced Wikipedian(s).
  4. What is your facilitation plan to support productive discussions around movement strategy? Please also provide a link to a Friendly Space Policy that will be implemented to support these discussions.
    The discussion will be led by User:T Cells and User:kayusyussuf who is the community liaison on movement strategy related matters in Tanzania Wikimedians community. He will be helped and supported by other experienced editors. We plan to use the WMF Friendly Space Policy to support this discussion.

  6. If you are translating movement strategy materials, in what languages will you be supporting translation? Who will be responsible for doing the translations? If not, please write N/A.
    The translation of movement strategy materials will be done from English to Yoruba language. The translation will be done by User:Agbalagba and User:Macdanpets.
  7. Are you running any in-person events or activities? If so, you will need to complete the steps outlined in the Risk Assessment protocol related to COVID-19. When you have completed these steps, please provide a link to your completed copy of the risk assessment tool below:
    • Once you have completed the risk assessment protocol, please contact strategy2030(_AT_)wikimedia.org to confirm and finalize additional budget and logistical needs.
  8. Is there anything else you want to tell us about this project?
    We will share the outcome of the discussion with the Movement Strategy Team at the WMF and other relevant working group.

  • Coordination (coordinator work to manage or support multiple workflows to prepare for meeting): 5*20 USD/h = 100
  • Camera rent, Recording (Photos and Videos), Projector rent,airtime for communication among facilitators)ː100 USD
  • Local Transportation (trip) for facilitatorsː 100 USD
  • Food (snacks, meal, drinks) ː 25 x 10 USD =250 USD
  • Supplies(printing, stickers,post-its,& internet)ː 50 USD
