If at least one short subject documentary video is produced and uploaded to Wikimedia Commons One short documentary video was produced and uploaded to Wikimedia Commons The video was shot in Ibadan by a professional documentary film maker. It featured a computational biologist, a veteran Yoruba actress and an experienced Wikipedian.
If at least 10,000 people viewed the video The video was viewed by over 68,000 on Facebook and over 1,000 people on Twitter The video was promoted on Facebook and Twitter and was engaged by thousands of viewers who applauded the production and the work done.

  • What worked well?
  1. Production: The video was shot in Ibadan by a professional filmmaker and this makes it easy for us in terms of the right quality and contents. The media crew are User:T Cells, User:Kaizenify, User:Macdanpets, User:Agbalagba & User:Olaniyan Olushola. The contents were designed with the producer and it was really very interesting working with film actors and filmmaker.
  2. Promotion The video promotion worked well. We promoted the video on Facebook and Twitter and there were several engagement with the video in terms of reach, shares and or re-tweeting
  3. Choice of speakers: Three people were interviewed; a veteran actor, Joke Muyiwa, an academic, Dr. Elekofehinti Olushola (Ph.D) who is the head of bioinformatics & Molecular biology, Federal University of Technology, Akure. We also featured an experienced Yoruba Wikipedia administrator, User:T Cells who spoke on the work done on COVID-19 by several Wikipedians accross the globe.
  • What did not work so well?
  1. We did not receive adequate support from the Moleskine Foundation
  • What would you do differently next time?
  1. In the future we will sign an MOU with prospective partners. This will include a documentation on what is expected from the involved parties.
