Goals[edit]

Did you meet your goals? Are you happy with how the project went?

Yes, we met our goals and we are happy how the project went

Outcome[edit]

Please report on your original project targets.

Target outcome Achieved outcome Explanation
If at least 100 people are reached More than 5000 people were reached We moved and danced around across various departments in the institution with drums and microphone. Many people left their various activities to watch the students dancing and singing. We believe thousands of people were reached in the process
If at least 30 people participate Over 120 students and lecturers participated The program was well accepted by the department of Yoruba language, their lecturers and students as they troop out with overwhelming number to participate
If after one month, there are at least 20 new contributors This outcome will be achieved after the training After the awareness campaign, our team met with the Head of the departments, some senior lecturers and the students representatives under the umbrella of Yoruba Student Association of Nigeria that a training or workshop on how to contribute to Yoruba Wikipedia be conducted in February 2020. This outcome will be achieved after the training.
If there is an increase in the number of pageviews At the moment, the pageview is not stable. The Pageviews are unstable. Yoruba Wikipedia is not indexed by Google and we strongly believe that this situation definitely impact negatively on the pageviews. We are aware that User:T Cells who is a sysop on Yoruba Wikipedia has filled a Phabricator request for this to be fixed. We are still awaiting the outcome.
