1. What is your promotion plan?
You can do a campaign involving billboards or rickshaw announcements to promote a Wikimedia projects, such as Santali Wikipedia, at different places in a city. You can promote an online campaign such as Wiki Loves Monuments on Facebook, Twitter, etc using ads. You can also create gifs/slideshows or other easy to make multimedia files and use them to promote your project on social media.

We all have a role to play towards saving our planet and environment. Climate change, global warming are global challenges, currently causing a lot of damages to our environment and planet at large and at the same time afflicting our health and interfering with our living standard. This project will be used to translate and promote climate action and healthy environment campaign related topics into hausa language which will influence millions of people who use Wikipedia content directly or indirectly.After the translation of articles by Wikipedia editors the projects will also employed the used of social media to promote the campaign by using online newspaper Facebook and Instagram ads

2. How will you let your community know about the promotion campaign?

Relevant community will be informed through hausa Wikipedia user group discussion page [[1]] and also through various social media pages such as whats up facebook and twitter


3.Do you have any experience in promoting Wikimedia projects either online or offline?
Were you involved in a similar project in the past? Do you have any other experience related to online/offline promotion?

Yes I have experienced related to Wikipedia activities I lead an event and also participated in many events


4. What is your post-promotion plan?
What do you plan to do after your campaign ends?

We will keep in touch with these participants through whatsapp groups and social media pages . We will keep them updated with latest Wikipedia events and workshops. we will also create events dashboard inorder to track participants contribution on Wikipedia

6. Is there anything else you want to tell us about this project?

In line with the #WikiForHumanRight:2022 Right To A Healthy Environment Campaign This project aims to strengthen, expand & maintain a presence of the Wikimedia movement in hausa community through the organisation of online and offline activities (editing workshops, editathons, social media promotion) in relation to underrepresented knowledge and contents linked to climate action and healthy environment.

The projects will also engaged Climate action and environmental activist to provide participants with working knowledge about right to healthy environment related topics.

  1. Number of people reached 200
  2. Number of campaign participants 15
  3. Number of articles created or improved 50 Articles related to climate will be translated in hausa language
  4. Recuit 10 new users
  5. Increase in pageviews for a Wikimedia project Yes

  1. Venue = $190 x 3 = $680
  2. Food and drink = $250 x 3 events = $750
  3. Internet access: $50 x 3 events = $150
  4. Promotional materials:( stickers, fliers and pamphlets printing cheatshet etc) =$250
  5. Online promotion campaign (online news paper publication, facebook and instagram ads)= $400
