Having returned to Russia, I took up my wiki club with even greater enthusiasm in the Nekrasov library in Moscow. One or even two user groups will be created in the Moscow region before the end of this year. Now we are organizing a local history competition about Moscow, then a wiki expedition to the nearest Moscow region will follow, and then we will offer an application for the creation of user groups. In addition, after Wikimania, I toured the North Caucasus, and my colleagues and I plan to create a user group in the North Caucasus region in the near future. Plans to apply for Wikimania in Russia are still valid.

Connections

This is my third Wikimania, and I again met interesting people. I spoke especially closely with representatives of Sweden (the organizers), as well as Ukraine, Armenia, Georgia, Estonia, Romania. We brought, presented and distributed about 30 copies of our recent book "Викибудущее" (a collection of science fiction stories and futurological essays about the future of Wikipedia in Russian). Delegations from many countries, as well as representatives of WMF, got such a book. I would be glad if someone takes advantage of our interesting experience and implements a similar project in his own country.
