Proposed participation

I am an active hactivist promoting Open Source Software in Tirana, Albania and a member of Open Labs Hackerspace. I am an Wikipedia contributor mainly focused on adding geo-location on Wikipedia articles and also adding relations of Wikipedia articles for the places on OpenStreetMap, combining the booth projects and also improving actual content gramatically. I will host a workshop for Wikimedia which will consist on a Wikimedia meeting including a short presantation for the Wikimedia movement and projects related to it. The second part will be focused on a discussion on the potencial for cooperating, suggestions for future events and comments for the existing projects.

Goal and expected impact

With this workshop I tend to look for various ways of cooperation to exchange information as in Albanian language there is not much information for Netherlands or even for Amsterdam there is a lot to be added and vice versa. The exceptation from the workshop are:

• There will be at least 15-20 participants.
• New ideas to contribute to wikimedia projects.

Budget breakdown

I will be needing only 70 EUR for meals and local transport. While travel and accomodations will be covered from organizers/me.

• Food and drinks: 30 EUR for night x 2 nights = EUR 60
• Local transport: 10 EUR
