Outcome

Option 3: New Creation: What was one useful outcome that was created at the event for the Wikimedia movement?

Add a link to something new that was created as a result of your participation in this event (for example, you might link to a new tool that you and your co-participants worked on at the Hackathon, or to pages created in a workshop you participated in).

• I started a research about the history of the Wikimedia Commons and this year's Wikimania helped me to find even more sources/tools to that and more people to interview. I plan to present this at next year's Wikimania in Montreál. See: Research:A brief history of Wikimedia Commons.

• I participated in last day's the Future of Wikimania session which was very useful. The Conference Committee along with the community members there decided to hold Wikimanias yearly and not twice a year which ended a long debate. The ConComm also decided to have frequent sessions in the future and to add new members to it. Minutes of future meetings will be published on wikimania-l.

Connections

I met some truly wonderful people from many different places of the world, like TMoran from Israel, SaintFevrier from Greece and Bojana from Serbia. From TMoran I learnt many things about how to organize contests about gender gap and how females are represented in various fields of work, including media outlets.

From Sainfevrier I learnt how editing can be healing and how you can include people with disabilities in editing wikis.

Anything else

I would like to express my gratitude to the organizers and the local volunteers of Esino Lario. It was definitely a new type of Wikimania and it worked out amazingly well. I never felt so home before at any type of conference!

This village is the proof that a small amont of volunteers are capable of anything, wheather it is about creating an encyclopedia, a new building or upgarding infrastructure.

Everything was so well organized with the equal amount of presentations, activities and evening fun.

I thank everyone to make that happen. Wikimania 2016 will be a great example of how a Wikimania should look like.
