- Option 3: New Creation: What was one useful outcome that was created at the event for the Wikimedia movement?
This was my third Wikimania, after Haifa and DC, and as always it was a very useful and enjoyable conference, where I met a lot of known and new people of the Wikimedia movement.
There happened to be several Belgians at this Wikimania, and we used the opportunity to discuss the foundation of the Wikimedia Belgium chapter and potential projects we could work on.
The Language Committee, of which I am a member, was also present with most of its members, which allowed us to discuss our functioning and present issues. The same was true for stewards and other functionaires, who also held a meetup during this Wikimania. There were also other Wikimedians present, including MediaWiki coders and Wikimedia Incubator administrators, with whom I discussed and worked on bugs and technical issues.
All in all, it was as always useful to see so many Wikimedians in real life, allowing one to more easily discuss and cooperate than purely online.
