Outcome[edit]

Video of the lighting talk
Option 1: Shared Experience: Via our social media we were sharing "Live" our experiences and in the Telegram group of WMCO we talk about what was happening and how that affect us. We also created a blog post about our experience and learnings.
Option 3: New Creation: There is a video about my talk about the photo-contest Wiki Loves ZEOs 2018. The talk was really useful to get help from individuals and groups to run a better contests, and also the material is useful to promote and share the contest.

Connections[edit]

My lighting talk was in the room Esino Lario and at that moment it was full! Also, I make strong connections.

  • User:Vsuarezp: We shared a lot of moments and talk about multilingualism and minority languages, specially Asturian, a language we both speak. We want to create projects together, not only in-wiki.
  • User:Andreasmperu: Was really good see someone from Perú, a neighbor country of Colombia. It is possible to run a contest together about our shared history and culture.
  • Olga Viota is a awesome person! We met at first in this year's WMCON but make stronger bonds during Wikimania. We talk about similar problems in our user groups.
  • User:Jaluj: like Olga, I already know Jaluj. Our first meeting was in Stockholm during the Diversity Conference, but Wikimania is longer, and therefore you can make stronger bonds with people. She is amazing!
  • User:KuboF Hromoslav: We're working right now! We're running in this moment Wiki Loves ZEOs 2018. Meet in person make more easy organize the contest.
  • User:Oscar .: We'll join WMVE in their contest Desafío tricolor soon!
  • User:JVargas (WMF): It is really nice to talk with WMF's workers and feel that they hear you and give advices. Thanks to Jorge we've now a lot of work to do. He gave to us new connections with institutions like Unesco. We're happy to have Jorge with us!

Anything else[edit]

This was my very first Wikimania. I learnt a lot. I know it is impossible for every Wikipedian to receive a scholarship so I hope to bring this knowledge back home and replicate it. I spent a really good time among mind-linked friends and meeting new people with awesome projects.
