Proposed participation[edit]
I am Santoshi Tiwari from Nashik. With a team and Nashik's community, we conduct different editathons in the city. Our recent project I worked on is Nashik’s Wikipedia page and we updated many nashik related photos to Wikimedia under the 3 days event “Wiki takes nashik”. Help people to get engage in different activities and awareness camps in different schools and colleges. I have recently prepared a bid for Nashik for “Wiki Conference India 2016”. I am active member of Wikimedia India (INDI-654). I look forward to engage and increase female participation to Wikimedia. • Projects to be targeted: o Pages Related to Health. o Women related pages like Women Entrepreneur. o Along with Text writing, engage people for working on Photos, audio and visual contents. o Start “Wiki Club Nashik”, wherein the people can join for different activities, learn how to edit and do quality writing and enhance the page. I am willing to attend the Grace Hopper Celebration India in December (Dec 2 - Dec 4, 2015).
Goal and expected impact[edit]
My main purpose to participate in Grace Hopper event is to deliver a talk and presentation about Wikimedia activities and encourage female participation all over India. I want to conduct a Wikipedia Workshop at this event. This would be a great opportunity to reach more female participants and bridge the gender gap.
The Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing (India) is India's Largest Gathering of Women Technologists. It is produced by the Anita Borg Institute and presented in partnership with ACM India. A lot of people, including a significant number of females and students attend this conference. I am looking forward to utilizing this opportunity to evangelize about open source and my enriching experience with MediaWiki, and thus get some newbie developers to contribute to MediaWiki.

Other instructions[edit]
I will be in Varanasi (uttar pradesh) on 2nd December. From Varanasi to Bengalore I need to travel and after event Bengalore to Nashik. I'd appreciate if I can get the amount in advance as I need to get the flight tickets booked.
