I am a Wikipedian since 2012. I received B.Tech in Electronics and Communications Engineering from KMCT College of Engineering (University of Calicut), India, and have successfully completed the MIT Accelerating Information Technology Innovation (AITI) Startup Accelerator Program at IIT Bombay in 2013 and Jagriti Yatra 2013. Also the founder of two multidisciplinary startups FareShare and Coffye Innovations. An engineering professional with a passion towards technology and innovations. Expert in the technology, tools and management techniques required creating first class products quickly and consistently. And a former Google Student Ambassador and Organizer of Google Developers Groups Kozhikode, involved in Google product testing, activities and many other initiatives as part of my term at Google. Also an active IEEE volunteer for past 5 years with high-level management, technical and leadership skills. In past 2 years, I have been working with organisations like Delta Tribe (as Community Manager) and Jaaga (as Manager - Developer Relations) on different initiatives to build better Startup and Developer Ecosystem in India. And I am currently working with Kerala Startup Mission (Govt. of Kerala) as a Fellow to support and nurture the startups in the state of Kerala.

For more, Wikipedia profile and LinkedIn profile.

My Works and Contributions to Community[edit]

For the past six years, I have successfully developed and maintained sustainable communities in IEEE and Google (as a volunteer), Startup Village, Jaaga and Kerala Startup Mission (Govt. of Kerala) related to Student, Developer, Startup, Electronic Communications, Computer Society, Education activities, Event management and Entrepreneurship. Currently the Community Manager of Google Developers Group Kozhikode (GDG Kozhikode) and Fellow of Kerala Startup Mission (Govt. of Kerala). I was involved in organizing Wikipedia talks during the regular meetups of GDG Kozhikode like Session on Editing Wikipedia by Netha Hussain (Editor at Wikipedia) to give awareness about Wikipedia and its opportunities to young developers and students across the city and Women Techmakers: Kozhikode 2014 to enhance the women engagement towards developers and open source field. And I am helping the celebrities and organisations to start and build their public Wikipedia page and media wilki.

Please check out the detailed report of community activities I have been involved in and supportive document of the same.

Twitter Flight 2015[edit]

I was nominated for a complimentary pass to Twitter Flight as an invited participant by Twiitter Inc. to attend Twitter Flight 2015 (Twitter's Developer Conference) at Bill Graham, Civic Auditorium, San Francisco, CA on 21st October 2015. I will be attending the event and meeting different developers and Twitter team around the world.

Twitter Flight is Twitter's annual Developer Conference. This conference features latest products and solutions from the Fabric, Gnip, and Twitter product teams with Twitter Executives and other key leaders at Twitter. And to learn what's new on the platform, hear from industry leaders about how they're using it to build great businesses, and watch a live end-to-end coding demonstration..

Meeting with Wikipedia Team and Visit HQ[edit]

I am working with Kerala Startup Mission (Govt. of Kerala) as a Fellow to enhance Startup and Developer ecosystem in the state and country. So I would like to visit Wikipedia HQ and meet someone from Wikipedia team to discuss about the different programs which would help startups and developers and see the possibility of partnerships on the same.

Silicon Valley Tour[edit]

I would like to meet some of the leaders of Silicon Valley based startups, companies, incubators and accelerators to discuss about future collaboration with Kerala Startup Mission and our communities to build a better Startup and Developer ecosystem in the state and country.

Goal and expected impact[edit]

Twitter Flight 2015[edit]

I will be meeting 1000+ developers coming from across the world and will try to spread the usage of Wikipedia developer tools (like MediaWiki action API, RESTBase etc.) among all developers. So this will help the developers and startups to be aware of Wikipedia developer tools and thus resulting in building of better apps. And I will be attending the keynote, different technical sessions, codelabs, etc., which will help me to know about latest technologies and developer tools and I can share that with the communities back in Kerala.

Meeting with Wikipedia Team and Visit HQ[edit]

I am working on different initiatives like Startup Policy, Student Entrepreneurship Policy, Digitization Education System in Kerala, Startup Bootcamp, Startup Box, Device and Test Labs and Co-working and Maker spaces in different cities. It would be nice to collaborate with Wikipedia and come up with some programs like Startup challenge using Wikipedia developer tools, startup incentives, mentoring program, etc., which could help the entire startup ecosystem in Kerala. Last year I was planning to host a Google hangout with some of the engineers from Wikipedia for our community members but couldn't host it last year due to some issues, so planning to host the same hangout session this year for entire startup and developer ecosystem in the state of Kerala.

Silicon Valley Tour[edit]

This Silicon Valley tour will help me to meet the leaders of different organisations and have discussion on collaboration with our community and programs, which will help us to channel great resources to our community and facilitate our members to build some great project or product.
