Briefly summarize your project proposal.

  • This project seeks to identify with people living with disabilities especially, women. In this project, we shall donate our knowledge to translate concerned pages via Wikipedia. This is achievable with public health department students of Imo State College of health and management services, Nwangele L.G.A, Imo State. In this project, articles relating to disabled men and women, especially of women shall be translated. These students shall be engaged on translate-a-thon.

I will do one training and one translate-a-thon

2. How have you let relevant Wikimedia communities know about this proposal? You may also provide information about external social media channels you may be using.

I made my network coordinator know about this

3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.

We have a Watssap group, I will convey the information therein.

4. Do you have experienced Wikimedia editors to lead/assist the event? Please provide links to the usernames of these individuals. (NOTE: all experienced Wikimedia editors MUST endorse and sign your proposal as proof of availability)

The students do have smart phones, I and my co- facilitator have laptops. I will make use of projector to assist them in learning what am teaching easily

We have a group a chat, anyone having issue can seek for clarification via group channel.

What resources do you have? Include information on who is organizing the project, what they will do, and if you will receive support from anywhere else (in-kind donations or additional funding). I, Onwuka Glory is the project lead/ organizer while Chiziqa is the co-facilitator. I, Onwuka Glory will train the students on Wikipedia pages translation, write report, respond to online questions; and others. While User: Chiziqa will assist the new volunteers in creating account, create flier, respond to questions and others.
