From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Project summary

[edit]

Briefly summarize your project proposal.

  • Documenting Police Stations in South-South Region of Nigeria.

Reports of insecurity and violence have increased sharply in the Niger Delta region (South-South Nigeria) since the beginning of 2014. This has been particularly salient in Rivers State, where the violence has been spread over a wide geographic region. In Rivers, as in other Niger Delta states, insecurity cases and violence has taken on various criminal, militant, communal, and/or political undertones, depending on the situation. It is on this note that this project aims to encourage security awareness among members of the Niger Delta community so that in the advent of any form of altercation and violence, these local police stations would be easily located for safety. It also aims to increase the visibility of these local police stations for easy access.
