The project "Documenting public and private primary schools in Anambra State on Wikidata" is a project aimed to creat,document, improve public and private primary school items on wikidata, this is due to the observation that many items on the topic, is under-representated in this wikimedia project( Wikidata).

This project will increase the overall visibility, and credibility of the educational institutions available on Wikidata, and can be used as a guide to create new items on other Wikimedia Sister projects,e.g wikicommons.

recruit new editors into the Wikimedia foundation.
Add and improve items/content on Public and Private Primary Schools in Anambra State.
Teach and guide new Wikimedians to edit on Wikidata.
Create an avenue to help new Wikimedians increase their overall edits.

1. Are you doing one editathon or training or a series of editathons or trainings?

I will be doing one physical training, and one editathon to help encourage new participants to keep contributing.

2. How have you let relevant Wikimedia communities know about this proposal? You may also provide information about external social media channels you may be using.

I am a member of the Wikimedia Anambra Network, will communicate the event on the community WhatsApp group, and also I have a groupchat of over 40 students, who are new Wikimedians who I have recruited into the foundation, and i will also be communicating the project in the groupchat.

3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.

I will also be communicating the editathon on the Wikimedia Anambra Network groupchat on WhatsApp and on the group I created for new Wikimedians that i have recruited into the foundation, finally I will also communicate the editathon during the physical training event for the project.

Yes, they all have equipments and skills to contribute high quality content to the project.

6. How will you engage participants after the event(s)?

I will also engage participants through the various channels used to communicate and create awareness for the project, and also in addition, I will create a WhatsApp group for all participants who attend the training meeting, so as to properly engage, monitor and mentor participants.

7. Is there anything else you want to tell us about this project?

This project was initiated as a result of the observations made during the process of carrying out the project on " Gaining Visibility for Secondary Schools in Anambra State on Wikidata" it was observed that many primary schools in Anambra State are also not documented or existing on Wikidata.

Also it was observed that many of this educational institutions include both government and individual owned Primary Schools.

The Project will be carried out by Okeke Chioma,with the Username "Bibisuccess" a member of the Wikimedia Anambra Network, and also an experienced Wikimedia, who joined the Foundation in 2022, and has participated in various Wikimedia projects, contests and events.

I will be carrying out a project to increase the visibility of public and private Primary schools in Anambra State on Wikidata.

I won't be receiving any support from any other organisations for this project.
