  • This project aims to contribute to "Wiki Loves Africa 2025" on behalf of the Wikimedia User Group Nigeria, with a focus on this year’s theme, "Farm to Plate." I will be touring agricultural sites across Ondo and Edo States, documenting visually by medium of photography and video informing how indigenous farming practices afford the food that nourishes community tables. These visuals will be shared on Wikimedia Commons to spotlight these region’s agricultural heritage and sustainable methods, illustrating their role in sustaining local diets.

I am in communication with the Wikimedia Nigeria Community group regarding talks on this project.

3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.

Ei'eke - an award-winning documentary photographer and cultural archivist with extensive experience, I am proud to have contributed high-resolution images to Wikimedia Commons. This project will be undertaken as a solo endeavor, but I also plan to mentor and train a new photographer to expand the initiative’s reach and impact.

I am fully equipped with the necessary gear and expertise to carry out this tour effectively and successfully

The Wiki Loves Africa 2025 initiative seeks to advance free knowledge by documenting and uploading high-quality visual content under the theme *Farm to Plate*. By tracing food’s journey from indigenous farms to dining tables, the project illuminates Africa's agricultural diversity and its role in global food network. These contributions to Wikimedia Commons aim to foster global appreciation and bridge knowledge gap for Africa’s sustainable farming practices, culinary traditions, and the cultural narratives inherent in food production and consumption.

Metrics tracking

How do you plan to track your project metrics? (do not create a metrics dashboard until your project has been approved for funding) All visuals will be uploaded to the dedicated group named "WLA2025 Nigeria." This enable Wikimedia Commons in monitoring the number of uploaded pictures and articles improved. I will make use of the outreach dashboard to track participant involvement, allowing evaluation of the project's progress and refine strategies to maximize impact.

I am a professional documentary photographer with the practical skills and equipment needed to contribute effectively to the project.
