Project summary

[edit]

Briefly summarize your project proposal.

  • This project aims to raise awareness and provide training on Wikipedia in core port Harcourt township, the capital of Rivers State, Nigeria. Despite Wikipedia's global presence, there has never been a Wikimedia project in town area of Port harcourt, where illiracy is high, leading to a lack of awareness and understanding about the platform among residents, particularly within educational institutions and also to get at least hundred to take and upload pictures of monuments around Port Harcourt Township and other Communities in Rivers State as part of the movement for #wikilovesmonuments.
