Grants:Wikimedia UG Nigeria Grants/Wikimedia User Group Nigeria Community Support Fund/Faces behind the Pages - Increasing the Visibility of authors on Wikisource
Project summary
[edit]Briefly summarize your project proposal.
- A quick check on the English Wikisource shows that there are hundreds of author pages yet to be created even when their works have been completely digitized on Wikisource. This is the problem that this project looks to address. In order to tackle this problem, this project would include training participants on how to make edits on Wikisource with major focus on creating and improving author pages on Wikisource, and how to link author pages and texts on Wikisource to their corresponding articles on the English Wikipedia. This would give more visibility to these authors and improve contents on both Wikisource and Wikipedia.
