- This project aims to equip participants in Kano State with essential skills to contribute to Wikidata, an open, structured knowledge base. Through interactive workshops, community members will learn how to document and share local cultural knowledge, heritage, and notable figures on a global platform. This project seeks to strengthen Kano’s digital presence and empower participants by enhancing their data literacy and enabling them to represent their community’s identity on an international scale. The initiative also strives to build a sustainable local network of Wikidata contributors dedicated to sharing Kano’s stories with the world.

- I'm doing a series of two days training and editathon.

- I have let them know about this proposal via Whatsapp chat and other communication process.
3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.
- I will let them know about the proposal by contacting them through phone calls, WhatsApp chat and so on.

I will use WMF outreach dashboard to track each metric.

- I Ibrahim Sani Mustapha will lead the events as an organizer and Gwanki will assist me as a facilitator.
What resources do you need? For your funding request, list bullet points for each expense as a unit amount and include a total amount.
- Events' hall = N40,000×2=80,000.
- Events' banner = N15,000.
- Projector rental:N15,000
- Tags and flyers: N15,0000.
- Branded Tshirts for the organizer and Facilitator: N6,000×2=12,000
- Food and refreshments to the participants and Facilitators = N2,500×22=N55,000 × 2 (for two days) = N110,000.
- Contingency = 15,000.
Total amount = 262,000.
