Grants:Wikimedia UG Nigeria Grants/Wikimedia User Group Nigeria Community Support Fund/Mr. Snatch/Promote Awareness and Conduct Training on Wikivoyage and Wikisource For Wikimedians in Borno State
Project summary
[edit]Briefly summarize your project proposal.
- The project seeks to enhance awareness and training about Wikivoyage and Wikisource within the Borno State community, specifically targeting local Wikimedians. It will include workshops and outreach efforts to educate participants on these projects. The objective is to recruit at least 20 new editors who can contribute content that showcases Borno's rich heritage and culture.
By addressing knowledge gaps and promoting local language content, the initiative aims to increase community engagement in the Wikimedia movement. Planned activities will feature both online and offline onboarding sessions, training workshops, and a four-day edit-a-thon to encourage active participation in content creation. This will involve creating articles on Wikivoyage related to Borno State and proofreading pages on Wikisource.
