From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Project summary

[edit]

Briefly summarize your project proposal.

This is the first Wikivoyage training project in Borno State. It aims to teach new and existing Wikimedia contributors how to write and improve Wikivoyage articles about places in the state that are not yet documented. Participants will learn how to edit articles and add information about local attractions, transport, culture, and places to stay. After the workshop, they will continue online mentorship to create more articles about different towns and tourist sites in Borno. This first edition will help promote tourism, raise awareness, and make Borno’s culture and history more visible online.
