From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Project summary

[edit]

Briefly summarize your project proposal.

This project aims to address the significant gap in the representation of Nigerian women in Science and Sports on Wikidata. Despite the notable contributions of Nigerian women in these fields, their achievements are often underrepresented or completely missing on Wikidata.
The project will focus on creating and

enhancing Wikidata items for Nigerian women in scientists and sports ensuring their work and accomplishments are documented in a structured, accessible, and machine-readable format. By doing so, we will promote gender equity on Wikidata, provide valuable structured database for research and education, and inspire future generations of Nigerian women to pursue careers in science and sports.
