Grants:Wikimedia UG Nigeria Grants/Wikimedia User Group Nigeria Community Support Fund/Say It Right on Wikidata
Project summary
[edit]Briefly summarize your project proposal.
- Many communities in the South east have their names spelt alike with other communities or other words in Igbo language, thereby making it difficult for visitors to Wikidata to know the proper pronunciations of those names. This is the reason for this project, say it right on Wikidata - to add the proper audio pronunciations of those community names, thereby adding more quality to those Wikidata articles. With time, we will cover all the communities in the South east, but we will start off with Anambra State. Embarking on this project would help recruit new editors and give opportunity to create awareness about the free open Knowledge base Wikidata. It will also improve the old editors' skills and enlightening them more on how to make audio contributions to articles.
