Project summary
[edit]Briefly summarize your project proposal.
- Project Summary
Hausa Wikiquote is currently being developed in the Wikimedia Incubator, where volunteers are working to build a comprehensive collection of quotations in the Hausa language. The project's main page serves as the foundation for this effort and can be accessed at Main Page
This project aims to raise awareness of Hausa Wikiquote and recruit new contributors in Hadejia, Jigawa State. Through a training workshop and edit-a-thon, participants will learn how to create and improve Hausa Wikiquote pages, add notable quotations from Hausa scholars, writers, leaders, and other prominent individuals, and contribute to the preservation and documentation of Hausa knowledge and culture.
The project will engage students, teachers, language advocates, and Wikimedia contributors, providing them with the skills needed to participate in the growth of Hausa Wikiquote. By increasing community participation and content creation, the project will support the long-term development of Hausa Wikiquote in the Incubator and contribute to expanding free knowledge resources for Hausa-speaking communities.
