Project summary

[edit]

Briefly summarize your project proposal.

This project will builds on a previous Wikipedia Awareness Project by engaging existing editors and training new contributors on Wikidata basics. Through a one-day in-person editathon and a one-day online training, participants will create and improve Wikidata items related to Jigawa State, including places, notable people, events, institutions, and other locally relevant topics. The project aims to strengthen local editor capacity, expand structured data about Jigawa State, and support the growth of a sustainable Wikidata contributor community in Northern Nigeria.
