Project summary

Briefly summarize your project proposal. December/January is a Yuletide season and so Igbo people who have not been around for a long time will be coming back, and as well more visitors will come in into Igbo land. So they'll need guide on their movements as well as in the language. This is the reason for this project - to fill up Wikivoyage with more content, by creating a profile of some more Igbo communities and also visibilizing more contents on the Igbo Phrasebook, to guide travellers around, this yuletide and beyond. It will not only boost the visibility of Wikivoyage to the public, but it will as well build editors' skills on editing Wikivoyage, as many editors do not know much about this project yet.

Train new and old Editors: This project will help in improving the skills of the editors in the network, especially regarding Wikivoyage which is still new to majority of them.

1. Are you doing one editathon or training or a series of editathons or trainings? I will be doing one editathon and training

2. How have you let relevant Wikimedia communities know about this proposal? You may also provide information about external social media channels you may be using.' I have informed the Community about the project in our WhatsApp platform. I also informed them on our Network Discussion page.

3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings. We have a WhatsApp group where our communication officer notifies the Network about the project of the month and also we do announce our upcoming projects in our meet-ups.

5. Do participants have the equipment or skills needed to participate and contribute high quality content? If not, how will you support them? Yes, participants have their laptops, some have tablets and others Phones, but I will support them by showing them how to navigate the Wikivoyage website.

6. How will you engage participants after the event(s)? We have a WhatsApp group where we normally follow participants up.

7. Is there anything else you want to tell us about this project? This project is one of a kind and very much timely, which will have a huge impact on our community and also it will help give quality and quantity to Wikivoyage articles.

I User:Goodymeraj am the facilitator while User:IfyClassique is the co- facilitator and experienced wikimedian. I have no support from any other source.
