Project summary

The Wikimedia User Group Nigeria – Akwa Ibom Network is organizing a combined One-Year Anniversary and End-of-Year Training Program to strengthen community engagement and build contributor skills. The event will celebrate the network’s growth over the past year while providing practical training on Wikimedia projects. It will also introduce new participants to Wikimedia projects and prepare the community for impactful contributions in the coming year. We will focus on both minor edits and items and article creation, (Creating and improving items by adding statements, and references on Wikidata and also adding sections and references on Wikipedia with focus on African biographies and health related articles).

Yes, participants already have the required equipment. The training will help new participants acquire essential skills, while serving as a refresher for existing members.

I will create a Wikimedia outreach dashboard that will be used for tracking the project.

The top 5 contributors will be determined using the project outreach dashboard. 5 contributors with the highest number of contributions, will be given prices.
