Despite the growing global recognition of African women in the music industry, their contributions from singles to albums and EPs are often underrepresented or inadequately documented. By creating and improving entries on African women composers, singers, and songwriters, the project will ensure that their works are properly recognized and celebrated, thus fostering gender equality in the representation of African music.
