  • Wiki Loves Africa Uyo 2024: "From Farm to Plate"

This year's Wiki Loves Africa Uyo focuses on the theme "From Farm to Plate," highlighting the journey of food; from cultivation to consumption. The project will capture and share images and videos showcasing local farming practices, food preparation, traditional dishes, and market scenes on Wikimedia Commons. Through training sessions, photo walks, and upload events, participants will learn how to contribute their work to Wikimedia projects, helping to preserve Akwa Ibom's food culture and share it with a global audience.

The participants have the required equipment, and training sessions will be held to improve their skills, especially for the new editors that will be joining us.

through the WhatsApp group, upcoming projects, contest, etc.

7. Is there anything else you want to tell us about this project?

I'm a student of the university of Uyo, and this will be an opportunity to bring in students from the university of Uyo to come join our training and also introduce them to the Wikimedia movement.

How would decide the winners of your contest (If you are going to have a contest, what is your scoring criteria)

• Good description and caption

• The photo must be related to the wiki Loves Africa 2025 theme and campaign

Juries will be appointed to select the Top 4 best photos with a good title, caption, description, and also a clear and quality pictures.

• 3rd place - 10k

• 4th place - 5k
