Project summary
[edit]Briefly summarize your project proposal.
Wiki Loves Earth Yola North: Documenting Urban Nature and Green Spaces is a community-driven photography and Wikimedia Commons contribution project aimed at documenting the natural environment within Yola North Local Government Area of Adamawa State, Nigeria. The project seeks to increase the availability of freely licensed photographs of urban green spaces, water bodies, trees, parks, gardens, wetlands, and other natural features that contribute to environmental sustainability and biodiversity in Yola North. Through training sessions, photowalks, and Wikimedia Commons upload campaigns, participants will learn how to document local natural heritage and contribute high-quality images to Wikimedia projects. The project will support the global goals of Wiki Loves Earth by promoting environmental awareness and improving open access to knowledge about Nigeria's natural environment.
