We will be organizing a training session, a photo walk and an Edit-a-thon photo contest
Training session: there will be physical training sessions. The aim of the training is to introduce the wiki loves monument campaign to the participants and train them on how to upload photos properly on wikimedia commons and how to do basic editing and create articles on English Wikipedia. This will improve their experience in creating and editing content on our target wikimedia sister projects.
The physical training will also create avenues to train new contributors on each of our target projects and also welcome them to the fan club to be part of the community.
Photo walk session: The photo walk session involves participants visiting a popular monumental area in kwara state and they get to take pictures and make videos, granting them opportunity to know more about the history of the place.
Our target area is the Esie museum and also the ancient Anglican cathedral esie in kwara state. These area will be our focus for the wiki loves monument campaign 2024 photo walk.
Edit-a-thon contest: After the training and photo walk session there will be a local contest in alignment with the global contest. We will encourage our participants to join the contest and contest for the global prize. We will also be awarding top contributors from our community.
